Seeking host families
Are you interested in hosting an international student for 10 days?
In order for us to host an incoming International Study Tour, we require the assistance from our school community to house students.
Host families are expected to:
- Provide three meals per day to the student
- Have a suitable bedroom for the student to sleep in (can be a shared room with ISC student of the same gender)
- Engage with the student and ensure they are happy, healthy and safe
- Ensure the student is transported to and from school and excursions (school bus is okay).
- Attend information, orientation, welcome and farewell sessions at ISC
- Obtain a (free) BlueCard for everyone who is over 18, and lives in the household (ISC will assist you)
- Meet with an ISC representative at your home, before the student arrive
In return you will:
- Be completely supported by ISC and EQI
- Have access to a 24/7 hotline to call for support
- Be given a stipend payment for meals and expenses
- Create a life-long bond with the student you host
There will be an information session for host families in Week 7 of Term 3 2022. This will be a great opportunity to meet families who have hosted in the past, gather more information and meet other families who are also engaging in this wonderful experience.
