Innisfail State College was opened in 2010. The college came into operation with the closure of Innisfail State High School, Innisfail Inclusive Education Centre - A state special school, and Innisfail campus of Tropical North Queensland TAFE in 2009 to form the only integrated site of its kind as Innisfail State College. We provide education and training for special school students (pre-prep to year 12), secondary schooling students (year 7 to12) and TAFE training for adult students.
Our focus is on each individual student and we work hard at developing positive relationships between students, caregivers and the community.
We recognise that our students' pathways after secondary schooling are varied, so provide a quality holistic and diverse curriculum program offering the traditional secondary education academic subjects catering for university bound students as well as providing nationally accredited vocational subjects which will equip our students for the workforce. We have access to TAFE programs on site and online university courses, and have integrated post secondary options for students while still undergoing secondary schooling.
Our purpose is to meet the learning needs of all students and provide each young person or adult with the opportunity to achieve success in their desired future.
I am pleased to share our college with you and trust that you find our website useful and informative.
