On Monday 12 June, Mrs Haren and twelve female students from Innisfail State College were invited to Cairns TAFE to discuss career opportunities in a range of trades. Students met tradeswomen who are training, working and running their own businesses in the construction, mining and automotive industries. Students networked with women in various stages of their careers in a broad range of trades and heard firsthand the benefits and rewards of pursing a trade career. The students were well informed and discovered how they too could commence a trade career of their own. It was a wonderful opportunity and the students had an exceptional time.
