It is with great excitement that we share with you ISC’s preparations for this year’s Academic Excellence
Showcase Awards. Due to the success of last year’s two ceremony format, junior and senior, ISC will continue
with this program again this year.
The 2023 ISC Academic Excellence Showcase Awards will be presented as follows:
• Tuesday 14th November 12:00pm (week 7): Junior Secondary Academic Excellence Showcase Awards will be
held at ISC for students in years 7, 8 and 9. Due to seating limitations, ISC families will be able to view the
ceremony via You Tube live streaming only.
• Wednesday 15th November 6:00pm (week 7): Senior Secondary Academic Excellence Showcase Awards will
be held at The Shire Hall for eligible students in years 10,11 and 12. ISC families are invited to attend the
awards as well as view the ceremony via You Tube live streaming.
At both ceremonies, students may be presented with the following awards:
• Academic Achievement Awards: recognise a Very High Level of academic achievement (A) in any subject
• Academic Excellence Awards: recognises students who are awarded a Very High Level of Achievement
(A) in at least two subjects and nothing less than a High Achievement (B) in their remaining subjects.
• Special Awards and Bursaries.
It is important to note that attendance at the Senior Secondary Academic Excellence Showcase Awards
Ceremony held at The Shire Hall will still be under Cassowary Coast Regional Council attendance restrictions. The
student will only be able to be accompanied by no more than two family members. However, we assure families
that ISC YouTube live streaming will be available to view in the comfort of family homes.
Over the coming weeks, students will be invited to attend both ceremonies and families will be notified of those
students who have been awarded special awards and bursaries.
We look forward to celebrating with you the
achievements of over 400 of our students and recognising their dedication and perseverance towards their
