In Week 6 of Term 3, 2024, Innisfail State College Arts Department presented All Shook Up. Inspired by and featuring the songs of Elvis Presley, Innisfail State College's production of All Shook Up was the show of the year!
Innisfail State College presented four shows total, with 3 show nights plus a matinee presented to the local primary schools.
The musical captivated not only our school community but also the broader Innisfail audience. This stellar performance was a testament to the tireless dedication of our Arts students.
Producing a musical is no small feat, but through a blend of enthusiastic students, supportive staff, and a shared passion for the arts, the show truly came to life. From mastering lines and perfecting choreography to harmonising vocals and collaborating with the band, our students embraced every challenge with remarkable skill and teamwork.
The production was more than just a performance; it was an opportunity for our students to create unforgettable experiences and forge lasting memories.
The Innisfail State College Student Council hosted a canteen of drinks and snacks for audience members with funds going back into student council and school events, while the Instrumental Music team raffled a 100s board to subsidise instrumental music camps and excursions.
All Shook Up Synopsis
The music of Elvis comes alive in All Shook Up. Inspired by Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night, All Shook Up follows a small Midwestern town that is thrown into a frenzy with the arrival of Chad, a good-looking, motorcycle-riding roustabout, who rides from town to town with a guitar on his back, blue suede shoes on his feet, and a song in his heart. Repressed by their conservative mayor, the town begins to come alive once more under Chad’s influence. Lovers meet, woo, pursue, and more, all in one zany night that will change the town forever. All Shook Up is a rocking, heart-warming tale about following dreams, opening up to love, and the power of music.

Congratulations to Mrs Topp and the entire Innisfail State College Arts Department on presenting an incredibly entertaining and successful show. Special congratulations extend to all students who were involved and represented Innisfail State College with confidence and pride.
Stay tuned for our next big show—the 2026 musical promises to be another exciting event!
