Minimum stationery requirements for all students, Years 7 to 12
Every student at Innisfail State College must have the following essential items at all times:
One well-stocked pencil case containing the following:
black biro, blue biro, red biro, whiteboard marker, pencils (HB and 2B)
ruler, eraser, sharpener, highlighters, glue stick, scissors
colour pencils (not felt pens), USB (min 4 gig), Scientific calculator (any variety)
A4 Ruled Exercise Books as follows:
Year 7/8 - 8 books
Years 9 to 12 - 5 books
Specialist subject requirements:
ART – visual diary (years 8-12 only)
HPE – hat (all students)
Methods and Specialist Math, Physics (years 11 & 12) - TI - Inspire CX non cas (to be purchased via ISC)
Design - colour pencils, colour textas, Artline 210 0.6mm Fineliner black pens (years 10-12 only)
Students do NOT require and should not bring to school: correction fluid, permanent markers, multi-subject books.
Bring your own device (BYOD)
Students from all year levels are invited to bring their own device to use in their classes.
BYOD is a benefit to students as it allows them:
1. Access to the school network, printers and school documents
2. Access to the internet at school (standard school restrictions will apply)
3. Access to school software
If you are considering the procurement of a device for your student, minimum requirements for BYOD at Innisfail State College are as follows:
▪ Windows PC Laptop or Windows Tablet (laptop recommended as they are most robust, versatile and user friendly)
▪ Windows 10 (Windows 10S not compatible) ▪ Minimum of 4GB RAM (8GB recommended)
▪ Wireless networking capability
▪ Solid Protective Case
*** Education Queensland provides Microsoft Office free of charge for all students, so this does not need to be purchased with your device.
